Our mission, vision and history
Since our launch in 2000, CareWorks has supported thousands of people through employment, training, community connections, pastoral care, and a range of social, health and wellbeing activities.
We believe that every person can be an active participant in the community, and our goal is to create a supportive environment where this can occur.
Governance
Northern Community CareWorks is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. We are a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission. We have a Board of Directors who oversee the vision and strategy of the organisation. The NCC Ltd Board meets quarterly in addition to our Annual General Meeting in May each year.

Samantha Barlow
CareWorks Executive Officer
Samantha moved to Melbourne to join the team at Northern and CareWorks in March 2020. Sam has held positions in various community organisations, most recently with the ACT Council of Social Service. She loves learning, reading and spending time outdoors. Sam is married to Gregory and they have a lovely but somewhat mischievous dog, Lefty.
